Today we did our first major hike with Josh. We drove an hour and a half up the McKenzie into the wilderness, parked at Sahalie Falls and then hiked down to Koosah Falls, Carmen Reservoir, Tamolitch Pool and back. Tamolitch is where the McKenzie River come back from under the ground, which is why it looks like a pool of Windex. It was about 7 miles with some decent elevation change, rough trails and even some snow on the ground. Josh did very well, though it got a little cold at the end.
Beautiful. Your family looks great. Jordan and I did a hike last summer of 9 miles. It was great. We hope to do more this summer. Kids need to be outdoor.
