Today Josh is eating much better. He had one meal that had to be put down the tube, but the rest he has taken from me and the bottle. Josh gets 45mls per meal and has been taking 10-15mls from me and the rest from the bottle. They are talking about putting him on formula because I'm still (arrrggghhh) not producing enough milk. It's pretty discouraging that I can't make what my baby needs and makes me feel guilty, like I'm shorting him on a good start to life. At least he's eating more than tubing now. We have also been able to hold him pretty much all day long. His bilirubin levels went back up again, but not enough to go back under the lights. He also had a hearing test and failed on his left side. They will retest it tomorrow and if he doesn't pass again, they will set up additional tests. Keep a good thought in your hearts that his little ears will pass the test tomorrow. Josh has been wide awake this evening and it has been so special to see him looking at us. He is such a special little guy! The doctor said he might be able to take him home in a couple days, but we'll just see how it goes.
